Release Overview
Our latest Portable Media Operating Systems release provides many benefits over the previous PMOS
such as faster section load time, increased section size, faster searching, new personalized connection screen, real
time connection URL, Click Through Agreement functionality and much more. Plug-ins and Add-on features can
now be utilized in our PMOS such as our CD Player for Hybrid CDs or our Viewer Stats database to track, to the
second, what viewers are looking at and how long they looked at it. The ability to re-author your media while it is in
the field never was more powerful. Read the details below.
|
Personalized Connection Screen
The connection screen has been enlarged,
and the firewall and spy-ware safety
warnings are provided utilizing the company’s
name.
Connecting URL
In the web based Interface Management
Application™ you now have the ability to
specify a URL that you would like the PMOS
to connect to once it has made a connection
to the Internet. You can include any type of
web based content in this page to help
advertise your company or it’s products and
services. If there is no connection to the
Internet the On Board interface runs to inform
the viewer of the real time updates they could
get if they were connected to the Internet.
|
Click Through Agreement
When the viewer connects to the Internet and
the interface is done loading it allows them to
continue on to the interface. If you have
used an End User License Agreement for
your connection URL, you can utilize the
Interface Management Application™ to alter
the interface to provide the I AGREE and I
DECLINE options that the standard Click
Through agreement would require.

Faster Interface
Our new file structure allows for faster
loading of the sub-section list when you
choose a new section from the drop down
box. Now, not only can you have more subsections
in a section, the interface will load
over 1000 sub-sections in the blink of an
eye.
Our new file structure also allows us to
provide a much faster search function over
the previous PMOS. With more speed than
ever the viewer can search through all the
sub-sections in a section using as many as
11 fields at one time.
|
Thank You Screen Customization
Clients were always able to customize the
Form and Thank You screens but now they
can also change the image shown in the
center section of the thank you screen. This center section provides
your contact information and a thank you
message to the viewer for using your
Personal Internet Channel™, while reminding
them that the information is updated in real
time.

Clean-up Splash Screen
The Clean-up Splash Screen has also been
improved. This screen is an application that
runs at the close of the PMOS to help clean
up the temporary files used by the PMOS to
ensure that nothing is left behind on the
viewers computer. Now the clean up screen
appears before the interface closes to help
resolve the confusion that arose when the
interface was closed and the media was
removed before the clean up screen could
display.

Plug-Ins: Now we can write any program you need and have it run as a plug-in when the interface starts. Each
plug in has some features based on the plug-in. For example the CD Player has a background option for branding
the player with your logo and an online music list that can be changed in real time. The Browser has the URL and
screen size options, even the ability to center the browser no matter what size you make it. You can also launch a
plug-in when a sub-section is clicked on giving your i-Ware CD™ enabled media more power. Another added
feature of the plug-ins, since they are downloaded from the Internet (broadband connections only), is that we can
update the plug-in any time we want and all the media, with every client, realizes the change in their distributed
media.
Add-Ons: Add-Ons provide specific functionality to your media and are very special features. We currently have two add ons that are useable within the interface for our clients to take advantage of. The one that is new to Version 2.8 are the Viewer Stats. The viewer stats Add-On allows you to track, to the second, what each viewer looks at and where they go in your presentation. The second Add-On is the Zone Tools. The Zone Tools are currently not available in all markets and are exclusive through The Community Disc. Please use our contact us form for more information about the Zone Tools and The Community Disc if you have an intrest in the latest technologies and stratagies in the Direct Mail advertising market.

Release Overview:
Version 2.9 provides additional funcionality in the mastering of your media. Each option has a specific purpose and several of the options can be used together to create the type of interface that meets your business needs. Each master is created for a specific purpose whether you have a sales force, your selling music or audio CDs, just want to distribute data to consumers or need to perform some type of industry specific task. With multiple options for your master CD you can customize your master to meet your specific needs.
Each Back Office can have multiple styles of masters connect to it and deliver the intended content so your not limited to the same style of master for all your business needs. Each master is designed with a particular purpose in mind and customized utilizing a few simple options that aid in the desired result of the media.
Once you have designed the style of master you want and have your media replicated, that media will always use that style of interface for ever. As you read further you will find a description of the different options and how they can be used. From that information you will be able to choose the features you want out of your master to achieve your goal. From that point we create a pre-master for your review that contains an "On Board" presentation that informs the viewer, who is not connected to the Internet, that they would see real time data, more data, more features and more functionality if they were connected to the Internet. This area should also be used to provide contact information to the viewer as well as your web site address. We recommend that the information in this presentation is kept as timeless as possible. No prices, dates, or references to time sensitive offers or information. This way the media continues to be valid even if the user is not connected to the Internet when viewing the media.

Standard Interface This interface gives the viewer a chance to find out what they are about to see and how it is going to effect their system. It provides information about the temporary files and where they are stored as well as gives you the chance to provide a static message from the CD to the viewer. A Connect button is provided for the viewer to click when they are ready to connect to the Internet and boot the PMOS.
This section also contains a message to the viewer about how i-Ware CD™ Technology works that is customized with your company name and information. It lets the viewer know that you care about their systems safety and for that reason you have provided them with this media to help protect them from Internet pitfalls such as viruses and spy-ware. There is also information in the message about potential issues with firewall and Internet security software that could block the Internet connection as well as how to handle this issue if it occurs.
Once the user has been able to absorb all the information presented to them they are able to click the Connect button at which time the PMOS™ attempts to make an Internet connection. When that connection is made the customized static message in the top of the screen becomes a dynamic, customizable message controlled by you in your Back Office. This allows the viewer to review information about the presentation they are about to see, information about your company and it's products and services, as well as, any other type of information you want the viewer to have giving them the opportunity to review a small amount of information while the PMOS™ is loading. Once the PMOS is finished loading the data files they are presented with a button that allows them to boot the PMOS™ based on the information it just loaded and the viewer is taken in to your custom interface.

Mini Player Component: Music and audio CDs are able to gain a huge benefit from i-Ware CD™ Technology without loosing any of the features of their music or audio CD. The Mini Player Component allows Hybrid CDs to be listen to from the interface without making an Internet connection. This feature is very useful in mobile situations where Internet connections are not always available and recommended for all our Hybrid music and audio CDs.
Sales Agent ID Component: Your Back Office allows you to create profiles for sales agents or distributors that creates a unique ID for them. This ID can be used by them as they distribute the media to consumers to customize the contact information the viewer sees when the view the media. This allows our customers to utilize a standard form of media across their entire sales force yet have it customized for each sales agent regardless of sales force turn-over. This feature also allows the notification communications via email and SMS text messaging to go directly to the sales agent or distributor allowing them to react to, and interact with, the potential customer while they are still looking at your media and do so in real time. Profiles allow you to track the effectiveness and productivity of each sales agent or distributor in the field to help you customize your strategy and get a better perspective on each of their individual strategies. From that information you can find out what methods work better and share those with the other sales agents or distributors to help increase sales across your entire coverage area.

Boot Through Interface This style of master does not allow for the use of either of the above components since it is designed to auto run and automatically boot straight through to the interface with no user interaction. If you looking for an interface that will start without the user having to do anything other than place a CD in to a computer than the Boot Through Style master is what your looking for.
Additional features that effect each of these interfaces are available and customizable from your Back Office to allow for further customizations of the boot process to take place in real time. Features such as End User License Click Through Agreement support and plug-in settings that can be customized and set to launch when the PMOS boots create a well rounded feature set to create and customize the style of media you want to distribute to consumers.

Plug-Ins: PMOS boot file download sequence has been changed to allow plug-ins to now load on a 28.8 dial-up connection. In the past our plug-in platform was only designed for broadband users. Though in some cases a dial-up user would download the plug-in in an interface it was not a garuntee that any plug-ins would even load based on the connection speed and the size of the plug-in. Based on feedback from our clients we made changes needed in the PMOS to allow dial-up users to download the plug-ins durring the boot process.
Boot File Management: Better boot file management to allow for a larger number of plug-ins to be utilized in the interface. This allows for a wider range of features in your interface and a higher level of customization. We understand the power of the Plug-In and Add-On platforms and want to be able to continue to allow our customers to take full advantage of those platforms.
